BIT 301 blogging as well?

I guess I just realized that BBA1s are now starting to blog as well.  One of my friends started blogging for the past few days.  I wonder if they were influenced by Bud's 320 class.  But I wonder why they are using Blogger.com instead of typepad.  Which one has more function?  I hope they can make good use of this blogging thingy.
