Oh I’m actually taking this business communication class ... we are now doing a rewrite on a product brochure called BEA WebLogic Platform. I never heard about BEA but apparently it is a pretty big company focusing on infrastructure software and most of its customers are Fortune 500 companies. What this Weblogic thing does is it translates the customer requested data from different types of database, e.g. Oracle, Access into standardized html format. This way, customer can access their order status or personal information online through the internet instead of calling the customer service center. This seems kinda old but I never knew how the system worked behind those icons and webpage. I thought this is something pretty cool and kind of relates to our class.
