Oracle version

are we using In Oracle9i Database Release 2?  I read it from somewhere that a new feature known as SQLX, or SQLXML is included which would be potientially easier for us to create the RSS feed.  by writing a simple SQL statement with a of of the SQLX calls, a piece of XML will be created.... ummmm...... sounds interesting..

help needed regrading the html code

i have trouble with the picture which displays "the women's center of america" for our View2HTML.xsql.   since the query result only shows three columns and cuts off part of the picture.  In addition, for the title of the html page, how can i change it from 'Query results' to 'the women's center of america', the html code of <title> doesn't really work.

check this link out

My teammate John sent us the following link which I think everyone should take a look of it..http://www.w3schools.com/xsl/xsl_languages.asp

even though it's something very fundamental, it still helps a lot while doing our project..

bud, i was thinking about doing the extra work for adding the RSS and HTML. do you think you could provide me with a website with some basic RSS tutorial if possible? Thanks

project 2

the extra 10 points of translating our project into RSS feeds sounds very attractive yet challenging since we have never done this in class.  I think I'll go on the internet and looking up for websites which have RSS feeds translation toturiaI.  For now, I guess it's time to get the group together and discuss how we gonna put the project into HTML format first.

seems very challenging

our group met twice last week discussing the project topics and finally decided on creating a database for the Women’s Center of America. I personally think it is a very challenging project after our first meeting with the 2 ladies who works there. Currently, their files are all stored in word format and it’s very hard for them to sort them out. Each file seems to have a great deal of information about their funding applications. However, I think our project will help them out a lot and save them a lot of time looking through the data. The two ladies are very enthusiastic about the project, well, so am I.
